Chris Wadsworth is a contemporary artist based in Auckland, New Zealand, working primarily in sculpture.

Drawing on three decades of creative practice, he brings a confident visual approach to his work, favouring bold, reductive forms and experimenting with contemporary materials to explore ideas through colour, structure and form.

Each piece begins from a defined concept or observation, often rooted in lived experience, which provides a structural starting point for form. Through experimentation, material behaviour shapes what emerges through making.

Before settling in New Zealand, Chris lived in Amsterdam, London, Singapore and Sydney, establishing a sustained career in creative leadership.

Chris holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the University of Central Lancashire, UK. He is co-founder and creative director of a design agency, alongside his work as an artist.
